This policy explains what happens if you need to cancel, reschedule, or change your booking, and forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
A deposit of 25% of the total booking value is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is deducted from your final price — it is not an extra cost.
Once we send your deposit request, it must be paid within 48 hours if your event is 2 weeks or more away, or within 24 hours if your event is less than 2 weeks away. If we don't receive it in time, we can't hold your date and may offer it to someone else.
You can cancel free of charge and receive a full refund of your deposit if you cancel within 24 hours of your booking being confirmed.
If you cancel after the 24-hour window has passed, but 7 or more days before your event, your deposit is non-refundable, but no further payment is required.
If you cancel less than 7 days before your event, the full booking value is due (deposit and balance), as by this point ingredients have typically already been bought for your event and the date can no longer reasonably be offered to another customer.
The remaining balance (75% of your total booking value) is due 7 days before your event. If it isn't received by then, we may treat the booking as cancelled and the terms above will apply.
If your plans change, get in touch as early as possible — we're always happy to try to move your booking to a new date, subject to availability, at no extra charge if requested in good time.
In the rare event that La Cummara needs to cancel your booking (for example, due to illness or an emergency), we will let you know as soon as possible and refund any payments you have made in full.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 working days.
Reducing your guest count shortly before the event does not reduce the agreed price, as ingredients may already have been purchased for the original number of guests. Increasing your guest count is subject to availability and may involve an additional charge.
